Principle 25

Gratitude

Gratitude and Prayer: Recognition of the Source

Every meal begins with an acknowledgment that we are not the ultimate providers; we are the recipients of Divine grace.

The Philosophy

Cultivating gratitude removes pride and entitlement. Recognizing that every grain of rice exists by the grace of the Divine makes the meal a sacred gift.

In the Kitchen

  • Opening Prayer: a short moment of silence or a spoken prayer before starting the fire.
  • Closing Gratitude: thankfulness at the end of the cooking process.

Spiritual Benefits

Gratitude is the highest vibration. It brings joy and contentment, making even a simple meal feel like a feast.
